Hi! I’m Rebecca, I have been in the beauty industry for 15 years. I began my hair career locally, here in Middletown. I didn't find a salon home where I could represent the quality of service and experience that my clients deserved, so I opened Rooted in November of 2019.
Throughout my career I have prided myself on being quite versatile with my services and what I’m capable of behind the chair. Over the years I’ve dialed in on where I thrive, and that is special event styling and effortless everyday hair. I love being able to empower my clients through hair and give them a confidence boost by enhancing their natural features, while always making sure to educate them and give them the skills to continue to upkeep their style themselves at home!
My fiancé and I are parents to our 3 year old son, Jack. Being a mom and a business owner has its challenges but honestly it's incredible and I wouldn't have it any other way.
It's helped me grow immensely in my personal and professional life

While I am always accepting new clients and forever dedicated to working behind the chair with my beautiful clientele, I am also working hard to build a kick ass team of artists at my salon. I'm looking to expand my team here at Rooted with ambitious, driven stylists. Empowering stylists to see their unlimited potential and career growth is what makes me get out of bed in the morning.

Jonathan Vining
Colorist + Extension Specialist
Jonathan is a graduate of Paul Mitchell The School + has over 17 years experience in the hair industry. He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge and insight + ready to bring your hair vision to life with his abundance of skill and creativity.
Fun fact: Jonathan owns his own salon in Orange. He's now ready to branch out + expand his clientele in his new hometown, Middletown. He is focused on growing his extension business and we’re thrilled to be able to offer this new service for our clients!

Jonathan specializes in gray coverage, custom blonding + extensions.
His years of experience have not only made him an incredibly talented stylist but also a trusted advisor in the world of beauty, where he blends artistry with technical skill.
Jonathan's passion for his craft is evident in every service he provides, and his commitment to excellence ensures that every client leaves his salon feeling empowered and beautiful. Whether you're looking for a fresh new look or simply a touch-up, Jonathan is ready to bring your vision to life with skill and creativity that truly set him apart.
Jonathan will be behind the chair in the salon one day a week while also training to become an educator + team mentor for our new junior stylists.

Chelsea Palmer
Stylist
Shalom! I’m Chelsea — hairstylist, brow enthusiast, and creative at heart.
I graduated from the International Institute of Cosmetology in 2022, and I’ve been passionately pursuing all things hair and brows ever since.
After spending time as a stay-at-home mom to my two amazing sons, Wyatt and Emmett, with my husband Ben, I felt the pull to discover something just for me, a purpose that lit me up. I found that in the beauty industry. It’s where my love for the arts, creativity, and connection all come together.
I’m endlessly inspired by music, books, theater, and visual art, so it’s no surprise that I gravitate toward bold, expressive color. Think rainbows, neons, and vivid transformations. But I also have a deep appreciation for natural tones and enhancing the beauty someone already feels inside. My goal is always to help you feel like your most authentic self.
I’m a self-proclaimed product junkie and education addict, always exploring new tools and techniques to deliver the best service possible.
Now at Rooted, I’ve found a space that allows me to be unapologetically myself while helping others embrace exactly who they are, and who they’re becoming.

Sophie Gaudet
Stylist
Meet Sophie! A passionate 20-year-old hairstylist with a love for all things hair, Sophie brings creativity and heart to every look she creates. A proud graduate of TIGI, she’s turned her lifelong passion into a career that allows her to help clients feel confident, beautiful, and totally themselves.
Sophie is working towards specializing in hair color and extensions, and is certified in both Masters of Balayage and Hot Heads Extensions. Always in the know about the latest trends, she’s dedicated to making sure every client who sits in her chair walks out feeling like the best version of themselves.

Outside the salon, she's usually soaking up the sun at the beach or catching up on the latest binge-worthy shows. She’s also a bit of a coffee lover - so if you’ve got a favorite spot, she’s all ears and always ready to try something new!
She can’t wait to welcome new clients and help them find a look they truly love.

Liz Ganon
Stylist
My name is Liz and I am a graduate from Academy Di Capelli where I received my cosmetology license in 2024.
I love all things hair and all things that make people feel beautiful! I like to focus on uplifting my clients confidence in my chair by creating styles that they can rock everywhere! From specialized and signature haircuts to effortless and flawless hair color, I love it all!
I fell in love with hair in grade school where I spent most of my time doing competitive dance. I loved doing fun updos and crazy eccentric hairstyles on myself and my dance friends, and now I get to do it for a living! I couldn't be more grateful that I can help people feel pretty and confident for a living, I wouldn't have it any other way.
In my free time you can find me tending to my garden, reading poetry, making gourmet salads for my chickens, or playing with my three clingy cats! I love taking care of those around me and I am so lucky that I get to carry that to my work life.
I can't wait to meet some new faces and get to know the lovely people that walk through the Rooted doors!

Emily Curtis
Stylist

Emily C has been immersed in the industry for the last 17 years and is an effortless pro.
She is extremely well rounded but has come to love creating easy styled looks while educating her clients on the "why". She thrives to enhance clients' natural beauty with simplified color.
Other than behind the chair, Emily is an incredible bridal stylist, working with brides and bridal parties brings her so much joy.
In her free time you can find her spending time with her family and pets, enjoying the outdoors, yummy food or a good book!
